When putting a meow to a melody, it always turns out great.
I have always been a dog person but once I moved to Los Angeles, I found myself surrounded by cat people and at one point I had a cat. A few of my girlfriends dedicate their free time to kittens and cats at Santé D'Or Foundation.

Founded in the summer of 2002, Santé D'Or Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization, specializing in natural healing and care. They are a no-kill animal rescue. The mission of Santé D’Or Foundation is to rescue and provide shelter and holistically-based medical care to animals, while attempting to secure them permanent homes. They act as an educational resource in our community through our rescue and adoption services and community outreach efforts. Their organization is run by an executive director, and entirely staffed by volunteers. Located in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, California, and they serve the Southern California area, primarily the Los Feliz, Hollywood, Atwater and Silver Lake neighborhoods. They work with local animal trainers, communicators and healers to ensure that their animals are emotionally and physically well.
If kittens and cats and the idea of them dying an early death moves you, volunteer or donate.
If you are like me and your eyes swell and your nose runs, definitely donate or come down to Stinkers, 2939 W Sunset Blvd in Silverlake on February 9th beginning at 8 p.m.The owners of Stinkers are auctioning off the bar’s decor including a skunk’s butt that emits a smoke after a cord is pulled. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Santé D'Or Foundation and you will finally get the skunk tail you’ve been dreaming of.
