I always wanted something that no one else would be wearing. Even in my prom dress days, I had my fabulously gay boss at (Eddie Bauer) make me a gold and black velvet gown. I wish I still had a picture of it... but I wasn’t disciplined in keeping photographs. He made costumes for all the Drag Queens at our local gay club - Marcella’s. I guess I have and always will have a little tranny in me.
Maybe it was because I was made to wear the worst clothes ever invented when I was growing up. From dresses with wire hoops and checkered aprons to pleated pants when they were not "cool" at all. I remember this hideous color block shirt I was forced to wear until I accidentally spilled bleach on it.
There is something magical about being able to reinvent yourself every time you put on clothing.
We went live today. Even if its several months behind schedule, it is finally alive. While it is a small selection of pieces; I stand behind them in style and some of them I have even designed myself. So the next couple posts will be a highlight of the Designers featured on JW - all designed in Los Angeles. Thanks for reading and thanks for buying (hopefully). Click here.
