As I had mentioned before, we adopted a family for the holidays. Instead of giving gifts to our friends and family, we decided to give gifts to a local family in need. Between myself, Andrei and HanNah we were able to fulfill almost everything on their list! We got the mother a grocery gift card, a jacket, a work dress and a gift card to Target for more work clothes. We got her son two Nike t-shirts, two Nike hoodies, a pair of Nike Sneakers and a Big 5 Sporting Goods gift card.


Sunday morning, Andrei and I armed with the gifts and a dozen donuts met them at their home. We met for a short time but it was a warming experience. The mother was full of thanks and her son was delighted with his new clothes and shoes.

I recommend that everyone do this next holiday season. Who needs another candle, body lotion, candy, or all the other misc. stuff we get our friends and family? I know, I don't.

So, Happy Holidays and if you usually get you a gift from me, know that the absence of my amazing gift to you this year was for the better.
