I have this amazing or sick ritual (depends how you look at it) that before I take a weekend trip, I need at least one thing new. And as I am leaving for New York tonight to visit with some college loves and to attend another music filled weekend - Electric Zoo - this time wasn’t any different.
As I was browsing other fashion blogs I saw an ad for Nasty Gal. www.nastygal.com Do not type in nasty girl because you wont like what you see, well at least while you are at work. Nasty Gal has an assortment of clothes that are cheaper versions of designer pieces and some originals. They carry brands like Jeffery Campbell, Cheap Monday, Kill City, etc... Designers that fall under the definition realms of hipsters... They also carry hand picked vintage.
Their main page is taken over by a girl in a leopard poncho.
Leopard is trendy right now, it seems to go in and out of style every two to three years and I have fallen victim to the trend. I purchased for under $50, it cost me a bit more with one day delivery but not bad for a cute pull over poncho. Not too opulent, heh?
