Recently I have been helping out at FEVER LA. Fever is an elite product placement showroom for emerging and established fashion labels located right in West Hollywood. By invite and appointment only, Fever houses designers like Fontana, Replay, Faith Connexion, Cesare Paciotti, Jexika, Corlette London and Valerji Pobega - to name a few.
While Fever has only been open for a short period of time the growth has been velocious and I expect you to hear much more about Fever in the future. Recently we had photographer Richard Radstone in for meeting. After the meeting was finished he informed us about his blog: RichardRadstoneblog.com and his project to take a different picture and make a friend/connection every day for 365 days. The people of Fever LA made up his Day 159. Check it out here.
I am not in London and I don't mind because its cold and rainy there. I rather be in Rio where friends and a boyfriend is. Even if I was in London I doubt I would be invited to the Alexander McQueen Autumn Winter 2012 show.
So if you are like me (not in London, not invited to the McQueen show and wishing you were in Rio) entertain yourself with a live feed of McQueen. Starts at 8 in London so noon here.
I am a lazy blogger as you all know. I hardly ever take pictures of myself or the places I go but I admire those who do. Super hungover Sunday, I found Ivania Carpio's blog - love-aesthetics.
This 23 year old student, blogger and mother has an incredible talent for using scissors to refresh her wardrobe. Through thrifting and shopping at Cos, her outfits have a beautiful minimalistic approach reminding me of 90's sex appeal via Calvin Klein ads.
It is refreshing to see someone succeeding in style without hardcore designer pieces. I am in love.
Nails, Inc London has developed a nail polish with magnetic particles! Once you paint your nails and use the magnet found in the cap, a new design is formed.
You don't have to go across the pond for this one, Sephora is selling it here.
Yesterday I received an email from Chanel. Thinking it was an email from my friend Chanel not the company. I was confused but only for a moment. Since my Valentine is out on a three week tour I will sadly look at the presents I should but will not be getting on Valentine's Day.
Actually most of this is way too pink for me. See the rest here. They even list the prices (which is odd for Chanel).
No pastel bags for me please, just the house across the street that just went on the market. Anyone have an extra two million I can borrow?
that I have been slow to shop for clothing pieces since the holidays. I have stocked up on footwear but have ignored my closet screaming out for a rejuvenation. Since January, my daily outfit has been a Wang top and black jeans, topped with a leather jacket. I bore myself. I know the the boredom has originated from semi-cold weather, extra fat and a scar on my elbow that looks like a vagina.
Something must be done. Day two of a Raw"ish" diet with a juice fast planned for the weekend. Internet shopping instead of lunch and a promise to myself that I will wear the MM6 Masion Martin Margiela x OC that I purchased on sale two weeks ago. (even though I also have a new scar on my leg)
