Versace has officially debuted their Year of the Dragon Jewel Limited Edition line of handbags, only available in Asia. The handbags are engraved with precious stones and "Year of the Dragon 2012" tags. Only 210 handbags have been created and with a price tag of $5,017 - there is no doubt they will go fast. 

I mean let's face it. 5k is a lot to drop on a handbag but I can think of several other bags in mere seconds that rival this price tag. For example, Versace also issued 60 pieces of the "Year of Dragon 2012" in red python skin. Price has not been announced yet but I'm guessing five figures probably around 10k.

Which we followed up with some shopping at the Grove and Arclight for some Young Adult. Hilarious. Only makeup for me today because on Sunday I tried out my first flea market - Melrose Trading Post.

It was pretty much what I expected. There is something very unappealing about the smell of a flea market but I braved through it, which resulted in an amazing purchase. A vintage chair reworked in Victorian black and white decor.

Wishing I was back in Tulum... 

But Los Angeles is pretty exciting too. Some dear friends are visiting and a couple of them are staying for several months. LA just keeps getting better and better. 

When are you moving here? 

I am addicted to my Ipad. I've wanted one for a long time but I rather spend $800 on shoes. So it was the perfect Christmas gift - accompanied by a classic Burberry reversible cape, Jil Sander Wedges, YSL clutch, Prada booties and some clothes. 

What did you get for the holidays?

A red convertible ride on christmas day? Why not.

Four Seasons Brunch, a West Indies Santa, smiles and a special birthday boy. What more could you ask for?

 

Rang the New Year in at Standard downtown then Standard Hollywood then home. I wore sequins and didn't take one picture. 

A day later we were off to BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen. I have a lot of catching up to do. Details on Christmas to come soon along with Playa and Tulum pictures.
