Late summer purchase. Perfect for poolside and trips to the beach. With the heat wave hitting Los Angeles, I figure I'll get to use it a couple times before winter. 

A keepsake from "A Trip to Wonderland" - a travelling exhibition in 1997 in Japan that started at the Sezon Muesum in Tokyo. Won at an auction. 

Berlin was all about visiting with friends and going to parties where cameras were not allowed. We had purchased a new camera at Saturn, the Berlin equivalent of a Best Buy but bigger. So I took a couple hours to visit the Berlin Wall Art and got stuck in the pouring rain. On my last night I shared a dinner with two lovely ladies and a sweet mutt who sat eagerly at the kitchen door.

I wore black the entire time.

Until recently I was never a lipstick girl. My new hair color has evoked a desire for hue-filled lips. To test out the waters, I went to a drug store and bought several lipsticks. The pigments and quality were disappointing. So I went to a department store and bought YSL Rouge Volupte No. 15. Glides on with ease. It never dries out, the color is so rich and YSL adds rosemary extract to all of their products. I stopped by Barney's the other day to return a dress and instead stocked up on some creamy goodness.

It would not be a "me" weekend if I didn't get a little bit of shopping in. While waiting for a table on  Melrose, I ran into American Vintage. Grabbed a high-waist leather pencil skirt off the mannequin and a bright orange tex-mex shirt. total cost: $28... wow.





Remind me why I don't go vintage shopping more?

Oh yeah, the weird smells and the endless racks. If the leather skirt didn't stare right back at me from the window, I would have never went in... I should rethink my vintage approach.
