I was never a big fan of rap. I liked Dead Prez because they sang of political and media injustices and nothing to do with strippers, hos, and/or getting money, yo. I do enjoy a Biggie song or the extremely vulgar and laughable Akinyele "Put it in my mouth" just to reminisce and to think how the hell did this song get published?!

Another Sunday, another Standard rooftop is approaching us and this time I thought we should spice it up. My girlfriend suggested old school hip hop theme. At first, I thought to myself, great, I need to go buy kicks. But the idea grew on me after looking through old pictures. Old school Hip hop all the way this Sunday!

 

 

If you are already joining us on the rooftop, thank you. But you need to do one more thing. Come Sunday, get out your old school hip hop gear - your big earrings, oversized t’s and sweaters, neon colors, big chains, kicks, and possibly a starter jacket?

I want to see fly people. 

No fear and no need to run out and purchase stuff, just try and be as hip hop as you can be and we will provide the rest...

New trend - cut out boots. I don't get this. Why would you ever want to wear boots without socks? Am I the only girl who has feet that sweat?

Alexander Wang Tasha - tall as hell heels. I wore them twice. Once to dinner where I was fine but the second time to a Laker's game or something at the Staples Center which required walking to our suite from the wrong entrance. I had shooting pains and cramps as I walked... so sad. They made me 6'1.

I think I just have to face facts that when it comes to taking pictures, I fail miserably. I think I have a total of 12 pictures from my trip and I haven't even uploaded them to my computer. San Jose was great thanks to some wonderful people. We got to zipline in the rainforest and now I am obsessed. I wish I could zipline everywhere in life. Getting places would be so much fun.

We came back to LA and Andrei left me immediately for a tiny tour in the motherland. This means I am a working single mother to a eighty pound pooping machine. Who of course, got sick because of her separation anxiety and weak stomach, which resulted in me staying in much of the weekend cleaning up her accidents and getting fecal matter on my face.

The next couple of weekends are busy but fun. Baby shower, Standard Party, wedding in Aruba, Detroit Music Festival, another Standard Party, and Sonar in Spain. Plus my favorite Spaniard is visiting! I think the Summer has officially begun.... Too bad the weather hasn't caught up with our schedule.
