Dreaming of Bissell floor cleaners.... what is wrong with me?

Jenuine West - Monday, November 15, 2010
I woke up wanting a Bissell Steam & Sweep. What does this mean? I clean when it is necessary and with all the hardwood floors and tiles in our house, it becomes necessary often but I have never woken up with a cleaning appliance on my mind. What's next? A biological urge for babies? Oh, lord I hope not.

But I have to admit, this sudden urge for home appliances is probably my inner self compensating for selfish purchases made over the weekend. First, I noticed some fun heels on another blog and instantly fell in love. Found them at Topshop and I attempted to buy them online and in return TopShop denied me. It declined my card, a card I knew had money on it. I checked the addresses and all the information again and it still declined me a second time. So, I then desperately attempted to pay by paypal in which it denied me again. It was then that I concluded that Topshop for Americans suck. Unable to bear the unfortunate events of not attaining the shoes I now HAD to have, I went to Chanel, armed with a gift certificate from my birthday determined not to spend too much. But I did.

While I orginally had my eyes on a black boot calf length, that also folded over into a bootie - these stole the show. Different then anything in my closet, I wore them out Friday with a long sleeve, ankle-length navy dress and a black floppy hat. But this is not where my purchases ended for the weekend...

Thankfully, my girlfriends were visiting NY and just happened to be in Topshop Saturday and I just happened to email them the picture of the boots, and they just happeend to find a 8.5 in these:

They should be boarding a plane right now. Buyer's remorse? Never. Wallet guilt? Yes. I now have to attempt not to shop for the next 8 days before I board a plane to Tokyo... and then - there, it is all fair game.

Mara Hoffman

Not to boast or anything but my friends rock.

My birthday month keeps giving... with a gift card I received from Apple and Andrea I purchased the Mara Hoffman dress I had been drooling over for the past two months.

I am now patiently waiting for it to arrive in the post! While colors are sometimes a scary thing for me, this print has me obsessed. The white powder in the hair, not so much.

I really am fond of her designs and prints. I'd wear most of these, especially the leggings.

An edge that is Jaggered.

I already have iPhone envy. With all those amazing applications from Chanel to throwing a stick man over a wall to Hipstamtic - turning regular pictures and ugly people into amazing photographs and interesting subjects. Why do I not have one? I am a slave to my blackberry issued to me by my day job. I guess, I could get an iPhone too but when I first started working here and had 2 phones, one personal and the other for work, I felt like a fool. No one likes someone with 2 phones. No one.

But I am tempted to be hated. I saw Jaggeredge iPhone covers while I was shopping for some new Alexander Wang shorts at Traffic. While I prefer studs on shoes and not clothing items, now I also prefer them on iPhone covers. They also offer animal prints, leather engraved, and denim covers.

They retail around $50-100 and are available at Church Boutique and Traffic in Los Angeles... Or you can order them online at www.jaggeredge.com.

Very unprofessional photos, I am no Rumi.

McQueen steals Hells Angels logo, unsucessfully.

Some old news, as it hit the internets last week but interesting.

Just after eight days after a lawsuit was filed, McQueen Camps settles with Hell's Angels for using their "death head" skull logo. The settlement also included retailers: Saks Fifth Avenue and Zappos.com. The defendants have agreed to pull all merchandise referencing the Hells Angels, including knuckle-duster rings, clutches, the "Hells Angels Jacquard Box Dress" and a pashmina from their websites and stores, according to the Hells Angels' lawyer, Fritz Clapp. All merchandise that has already been sold will be recalled and destroyed... How the hell are you going to do that? People are going to willingly give up things they spent money on? The dress retailed for $1595.

wow.... pretty blatant copying... What were they thinking?

Willow love.

Apparently, it takes me several days to get back to reality. I must shorten my rehabilitation time from travels. On this most recent trip I visited Amsterdam, London, Kiev and Moscow. While it was cold, I had an amazing time. I got to take pictures and actually keep them.

In Moscow, sadly my garter tights suffered an untimely death... I wont name names but someone decided to burn my thigh and kill my tights. Luckily, just two days prior, I was shopping in Kiev and found these.
